Examining the level of physical and movement fitness and preparing the standard norm (Case study: cultural-military centers)

Abstract

Objective: To study the level of physical and motor fitness of soldiers and to prepare a standard norm (Case study: one of the cultural-military centers).
Methodology: The statistical sample of this descriptive-field study was 215 soldiers and military staff of several military cultural centers in Mazandaran province. Statistical samples were randomly selected in three age groups of 20 years and younger (72 people), for the age group of 21 to 25 years (73 people) and for 30 years and older (70 people). After selecting the statistical sample and performing the selected test, a raw score was assigned to the soldiers' performance on each of them.
Results: The mean values of the performance of six physical and motor fitness tests for the Modified pull up test (M= 19), Push up test (M= 33), in Sargent test (42 = Cm), agility test (4×15) (Min-Sec = 14.37) is a 50-yard dash test (Sec = 6.92) and one mile track jog test (Min-Sec = 8.37).
Conclusion: By comparing the average results of joint tests between all three age groups, with increasing age in all tests will be a record drop, In order to improve the performance and increase the physical and mobility of soldiers and military personnel, the authorities should put an appropriate and long-term strategy in their agenda.
