Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the attendance of the Islamic Republic of Iran in different periods of the CISM Military World Game (1995 to 2019) and to provide effective solutions and suggestions for a successful and strong presence in the future. Methodology: This research is applied in terms of purpose and as well as, in terms of data collection was descriptive-analytical. First, by researching the official website of CISM (International Military Sports Council) the results of the Islamic Republic of Iran in different periods were extracted, then the efficiency was measured using DEA-Solver software. In the second stage, by reviewing previous studies and purposeful interviews with 10 sports experts and managers, 42 factors were collected. After eliminating, categorizing, and summarizing the proposed factors and solutions, finally, 35 factors were provided to 25 sports expertise and managers in the form of a TOPSIS questionnaire. Using MATLAB software, the final solutions were prioritized based on the weight of each factor. Results: Data analysis revealed that (1) the use of top military and civilian coaches as technical staff and coaches in army sports teams, (2) Development and strengthening of extra-organizational interactions to take advantage of the scientific and research capacities, specialized, facilities and equipment of other domestic and foreign sports organizations, (3) The support of sports event especially participation in CISM games by managers and officials of the Armed Forces were the most important solutions and factors.
Conclusion: According to the findings, it is expected that the sport managers and officials of the Armed Forces will have the necessary effort and planning to win seats in international forums, including various seismic committees. Also, updating sports facilities and equipment to compete with Iranian athletes and teams with athletes and teams from other countries can help the success of the Iranian sports caravan. Finally, with proper planning and sending sports teams that have a better chance of winning medals, it is possible to improve the performance of the sports caravan of the Islamic Republic of Iran and achieve a more desirable position.
