Purpose. Finger flexors are a primary factor influencing the performance of rock climbers, and the strength and endurance of these muscles greatly contribute to their success. Accurate assessment of these climbing-related factors leads to the optimization of training processes for climbers and substantially aids research in physiotherapy and sports biomechanics. Given the absence of a device with the aforementioned features in Iran, the aim of the present study was to analyze the reliability of a designed and manufactured device for measuring the strength and endurance of finger flexors. Methodology. Twenty-nine healthy individuals volunteered to participate in this study. To assess reliability, after calculating their maximum strength, participants performed three consecutive endurance tests. Subsequently, the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) was used for three variables: time-to-fatigue, adjusted time-to-fatigue, and force-time integral. Findings. The ICC values for the variables time-to-fatigue, adjusted time-to-fatigue, and force-time integral were 0.935, 0.938, and 0.868, respectively. Conclusion. The results indicated that the device possesses high reliability and can be used for measuring finger flexor strength and endurance in future studies.
