Objective: The purpose of this research was to investigate the prevalence of deformities and their relationship with the level of physical fitness in Air Force military personnel.
Methodology: The statistical sample consisted of 300 employees of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force in Tehran and Shiraz. The New York test was used to measure physical abnormalities, and upper limb balance (Y), explosive power, and functional motor screening tests were used to evaluate physical fitness. Kendall's correlation coefficient statistical test was used to check the relationship between the variables.
Results: The results of this research showed that the lowest score of participants was in kyphosis and the highest score was in geno valgum. I would say, the correlation was significant between functional motor screening with kyphosis , upper limb balance with kyphosis, explosive power with flat feet and functional motor screening with forward head deformity (p < 0.05).
Conclusion: It seems work environment can be effective in the occurrence of physical abnormalities. These findings show the need to pay more attention to the posture of Air Force military personnel, especially in the field of designing corrective movements and sports exercises.
