Objective: The aim of this study is to analyze the cultural development of using public bicycles and the role of consumer behavior in promoting sustainable (green) transport.
Methodology: The research method was descriptive-correlational and 170 people who used public bicycles continuously (at least 3 times weekly visits) were selected as research sample (N=310). The standard questionnaire was derived from the customer satisfaction surveys and a standard loyalty questionnaire in the 5 Likert options range. Data were analyzed using SPSS 19 software at a significant level of ≥ 0.05.
Results: T-test results showed that the satisfaction and loyalty of users of public bicycles are in good condition. In this regard, the component of health satisfaction and the component of behavioral loyalty are of the highest priority to citizens. There is also a positive and significant relationship between citizens' satisfaction and loyalty, so that satisfaction can predict 27% of customer loyalty.
Conclusion: According to the analysis findings, the high priority of health satisfaction gain from public bicycles reflects the high value of public bicycles and their health benefits to citizens and plays a significant role in citizens' loyalty to public bicycle systems. Citizenship behavioral loyalty can also contribute to developing a public bicycle system to increase the attraction of new audiences and improve system development. In this regard, the use of public bicycles on the one hand affects the health and well-being of citizens and, on the other hand, contributes to the development of sustainable urban transport.
